This class has provided me the opportunity to be creative within a technical environment. The movie trailer project required that I learn several new technologies and apply them to create the trailer. The experience with the trailer project proved challenging. However, I learned how to express ideas through a new form of media. Additionally, the movie poster required that I think about how I wanted the movie to be represented through a single image. While I am comfortable distilling words into singular ideas, I had to spend time thinking through how to do so with images.
I enjoyed working on the digital literature project because it allowed me the use of words to create images. The Twine platform allowed me to use the skills learned in class, and from the previous projects, while also giving me the space to write creatively. What I liked most about this project was that it bent the rules of traditional literature.
Overall, the class helped me to understand the complexity of creating digital projects. I learned to edit my movie trailer, layout for the website and planning with the Twine games all while navigating digital spaces.
